Is Kane able?

Following hot on the heels of the signing of Macauley Bonne, Coventry’s Todd Kane has signed on loan until the end of the season.
Kane and Dean Holden give their thoughts here, but also there is a bloke called Thomas Sandgaard, who appears from the abyss, and shares his broad footballing knowledge with us fans. How we have missed his opinion..
29-year old Kane can play right back and further forward as well as in central defence. As is the want these days he can also play on the other side even though he only uses his left foot for standing on!
In all seriousness he is a bit of a journeyman full back but has plenty of appearances at a higher level under his belt. We have sniffed around the ex-Chelsea youth player before, but Kane gives us much-needed options at the back, and is pretty useful they say at set-pieces. Hopefully a left back will join as well soon. Welcome Todd.
Maybe Andy Scott is working on a left back, or will his Rolodex and Martin’s black box turn up Scott Minto 😌
What ever happened to Scott Minto?
😂
😄 never heard of ‘im.
Love it and your blogs mate and must be something in the Bermuda air and as you know but probably forgotten but worked there from 1973 to 1979 and where has the time gone to and very frightening indeed. Tc mate
Thanks John. I remember.
He’s alive and well and lives in his holiday sky box on matchdays and welcomes a lot of visitors who bear burgers 🍔 to eat.
As you know I follow the academy players closely and I can report that after a season and a half of injury problems Oguntayo has played the last 2 U23 games and was outstanding in the left wing back position in the first game and outstanding in the second as a left back. If he maintains the level of performance he should be close to first team squad standard.
In the second game Asiimwe ( still an U18) was outstanding at right back and is very promising for the future.
Thanks for the updates rierti. Question to you. Are you surprised at how well Lucas Ness has adapted?
Not really CA as I have been impressed with Ness since he joined.
I saw the cup games he played for Torquay against Derby and he was by far their best defender. So pleased he was recalled.
I hope he retains his place despite the possible return of O’Connell, who although very good in possession is not a good tackler or header of the ball and also lacks pace.
Further to above, other academy defenders are progressing well, Elewere is fitter and sharper than at start of the season and is closing in on regaining his form of last season. Young central defenders Toure and Laqueratabu have had injury problems and hopefully will return to action soon, they are extremely promising if they can overcome these setbacks.
In midfield Kedwell (still an U18) has improved dramatically this season and is now playing for the U23s on a regular basis. He is an energetic linking player who reminds me of Steve Gritt.
Centre forward Gavin is improving game by game despite playing up front without effective support. I hope he is given more time. Finally I fear Clayden will not be given a chance to show what he can do as a winger. As you know he has featured as a full back and wing back but these positions did not suit him.
CA and forgotten your real name and rierti and well played for the Met police and wow amazing and did you see that tackle in the 90th minute near the far touchline the other night?
Frankly amazing.
The black box CA will select Brian Kinsey !😀
Keep meaning to ask, how’s the Bermuda Triangle, do you avoid or has it been disproved?
Pretty mythical Martin. Still brings the tourists in searching for it though.
