Christmas chills
I’ve been working this week from Sarasota in between making room for some Christmas festivities, and tip toeing around the obligatory workman at the house.
We have just got in from an early dinner, and there is a real chill in the Florida air. Tonight is expected to be the coldest night in Sarasota and most of Florida for 30 years with the temperature set to hover just above freezing. Extreme weather warnings are being sent all across the country with the rather dramatic threat of bomb cyclones closing in around the Great Lakes.
That however is all outside behind the locked door. Here inside the ugly Christmas jumpers are on, presents sit under the tree, the Malbec is warming in my hand and with sadly no need for the Santa enactment anymore we are sat with our 13-year old readying ourselves for bed and discussing plans for a day tomorrow of eating, drinking, playing games and watching the box.
I trust you all will be doing the same and I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas.
And a Merry Christmas to you and your family and Hope you all have a Good Happy and Peaceful New Year

We came over from Ireland to London and were thinking of going to the game but they are charging an extra £3 to get the tickets on the day so we think its a bit too pricey so we are going to leave it this time. They should not be doing this as it putting people off who can only get to the occasional game
