One change and one no change

Remember this guy ⬅️?
Brian Jokat was appointed as Chief Operating Officer 8 weeks ago, and now news reaches us that he left the club this week.
We are now counting on our second hand the amount of senior level hires that Thomas Sandgaard has made and then dispensed with
Jokat didn’t have much of a background in football, be was a hockey guy, but that was obvious, to me anyway. 8 weeks. Gone. Not up to scratch, misconduct, personality clash, poor due diligence? Who knows but his remit would have been non-footballing operations and in particular increasing commercial revenues and adding to fan experiences.
Not sure how he could have done the latter as no ones been in the ground since he started. I do think however that Thomas lives in la la land if he thinks anyone is going to increase commercial revenues stuck in this division. Premier League-ready is an abstract idea, but.
Also today, I saw this:
Interesting and wholly unsurprising in the summer of the Women’s Euros. Again, maybe Thomas can now refocus his decision making into more constructive goals.
All aboard the TS roundabout as it spins faster more appointments will lose their grip and fall off !!
We all know that the club is still in turmoil and appointing experienced staff is so vital !!
Seasoned fans will know this is another ride in TS’s fairground…..
I fear that it is damaging our credibility/reputation as a professional club.
Why has TS attempted to change Charlton women’s team to Charlton ladies team ….going against the FA ?
Did he canvas the manager, players and staff associated with the woman’s team for their Opinion?…. or did Mrs S have Input ?
There are indeed some strange things going on.
But at least we filled 3 empty seats for the jolly boys outing.
Isn’t this a storm in a teacup? What is wrong with the term ‘ladies’? Or have I missed something in this increasingly woke world?
Hey CA – got to help me out here. Just seen the photos and the list of players in Spain. Have I missed something (I usually do) – I thought Gilbey had gone?? And why Leaburn and not Kanu? Has he gone already??
As for Howard above – good grief man – it has nothing to do with woke – its living in the dark ages ‘Ladies’ is a by-gone era my friend.
Good morning LP. I will do my best young woman 😉
Giilbey leaving was just a rumour. He is still contracted. Miles Leaburn is there. Kanu is a mystery. Maybe he’s been sold to Chelsea 🤷♂️
Only other player not in Spain is Ashley Maynard Brewer who is thought to be still recovering from injury.
CA correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t TS get fined by the SEC for being the only board member at Zynex and more than once… He doesn’t play well with others.
Didn’t TS Get censured by the SEC for not having any other board members at Zynex, and I believe it was multiple times. I don’t think he plays well with others…
LP & CA Gilbey still there is a disappointment as he should have gone ages ago!
Agree how is Kanu not involved?
Plus I thought A.M.B. had recovered or is he also on his way out and MacGillveray is staying!
Still plenty of other 2nd Division cheap Freebies still available, including from Swindon 🙂
Leaburn is a year older than Kanu and significantly more physically developed. Kanu is a good finisher at U18 level but needs to improve the technical side of his game his time will come. Kanu’s goals in the league play offs were both assisted by Leaburn who seems to read the game well. Garner did not take any U18s to Spain. Anderson and Asiimwe are as promising in their positions as Kanu is as a striker. In the U23 game against QPR Leaburn scored a hat-trick, I may be wrong but I think it was his first game at that level.
