Jacko appointed AFC Wimbledon manager

I’ve had a post entitled ‘What’s next for Jacko’ sat in my drafts for a week, and that question has been answered today after Johnnie Jackson was appointed AFC Wimbledon’s new manager. Terry Skiverton will be his assistant.

I’m really, really pleased for Jacko. There is a stat that says two-thirds of first time managers never get a second opportunity of managing a league club. It seems that what Jacko achieved in his spell as Addicks’ manager and during his time as an assistant was enough for the Wimbledon hierarchy to give Johnnie the opportunity to return the club back to L1 after five seasons there.

Jacko has signed a 2-year deal and as odd as it looks him holding a scarf of another club I wish him every bit of luck in the world.

Totally agree that Jacko deserves the opportunity to develop his managerial skills at AFC Wimbledon and I’m sure Charlton fans share my wishes.
Sangard needs to ensure that he gets the new managerial appointment right otherwise I fear the club faces another fan revolt if progress is not made.
My main concern is bringing in players who can support and compliment our younger squad.
I’m optimistic but Sangard doesn’t take any prisoners it appears

Best wishes to JJ. When he took over at Charlton he knew all the players and probably had his favourites. At Wimbledon he will have to start from scratch which could be an advantage. Pity he didn’t take Euell as his assistant

Oh no that horrible little striker might not be playing in the premier league next season as his Nottingham forest manager has found out just a piece of crap that the useless bowyer took him on after he let us fans and players and coaching staff down for the fact I need to get better money see you in lower divisions mr Taylor lol
