Charlton Athletic 2 Morecambe 3

This game followed the same dismal path of many others this season. We started on the front foot, didn’t score, the other team did, and we weren’t able to react.

Morecambe scored again before the break signaling the end of the contest. Stockley gave some hope, but typically we gifted them a goal when we were on top and that was that. Chuks came on as sub and scored.

Only CBT and Dobson were worth a clap off.

Wash and repeat.

Three games left of this sorry, sorry season. Home defeats to Cheltenham, Accrington Stanley, Wycombe, Lincoln and Morecambe and they want you to buy a season ticket.

The club need to show a little bit of pride and a course of action, and let’s hope it is a bit more watertight than the plan to sell season tickets.

Jacko: “It’s disappointing. I get it. None of us are where we want to be – even if we win every game. I get their frustration and I’m as frustrated as anyone. We’ve got to try and win these three games and then it’s a reset for the football club. It’s a huge summer that we have to get right because there is a real core of something good and that, if we had the right types in the right positions, we have got a great opportunity.”

Why play Burstow instead of one of our youngsters who didn’t even make the bench.
Why play Mathews ahead of Jaiyesimi.
Why play Gilbey and not pass the ball to him.
Players who will not be here next season should not be in the squad they are taking the place of our youngsters who we are itching to get a look at.
Myself,my son, and my Grandson have season tickets but next season we will take it game by game unless things change soon

  2. I take your point about performances and defeats but fans seem to live in cloud cuckoo land and grandiosity.

We were once reasonably successful we’re not not now, anything but. But to assume we shouldn’t lose to teams you mentioned is a bit disrespectful to them, we have no divine right!

If the same coach and his team are still in place for next season then I feel it will be a repeat of this season and maybe even worse

I agree about the coaching staff. Perhaps we should have a clean sweep on playing staff as well as management. As much as I love JJ, sadly i just don’t think he has the wherewithal to take us forward.

As each dismal week goes by, Jackson continues to prove he has no clue how to manage a football team and it’s tactics. Continually plays square pegs into round holes and just wont budge on a system that only works if you have the players capable, which we clearly do not. And his post match comments now rival Robinson in their complete drivel.
“there is a real core of something good and that, if we had the right types in the right positions, we have got a great opportunity.” – That’s akin to saying if we were Man City we would be OK.
Well if my Auntie had balls she would be my Uncle.
