Going MIA

I fly to Florida tomorrow for a few days mostly to check in on the house in Sarasota. See what the latest round of excuses are from the variety of contractors and artisans. No doubt our furniture is being sourced from Moscow.

I spend the night on Monday in Miami and having dinner with some work colleagues, face to face, which will be a rare treat.

I’m looking forward to a little break from work, it has been a testing couple of weeks for numerous reasons and on top of that football is bleak.

I’m also pretty rattled by Russia’s barbaric invasion of Ukraine, like we all are. Incredible to see and hear about face to face combat in residential streets in this day and age. There are some incredible stories of bravery and strength from the Ukrainian military and civilians.

I see there was the usual spineless response from FIFA this afternoon.
