Williams stays

Johnny Williams has followed Jake Forster-Caskey in committing to stay for the last year of his contract.
Williams could be the best player in League One. He could also be a drain on resources kicking around the medical room with the only playing statistic he leads is that of the most fouls won.
For Willians in the current environment there is no financial downside, but he must harbour hopes of playing for Wales and at a higher level. Assume he thinks he can do that with us.
If anything the news on Williams last night just raises lots of questions and makes me more confused.
Yes, there is a lot of clandestine moves going on regarding the ownership. I’m not in the know, but I know a little. And I know that we together will force those charlatans out of our club.
However, Williams may or may not have had any other options. He may have taken the easy money. I don’t think he is motivated by money unlike others in game, but Williams is not a dummy. What does he know that we don’t know about Bowyer, Gallen and Jackson?
Totally agree, this is great news, and boy do we need some. Bowyer seemed very positive and forward thinking in his latest video interview, is more good news on the horizon? Talk of Connor Washington in various newspapers close to signing for us. To do that the embargo needs to be lifted doesn’t it? If it’s close to that then the EFL must surely be announcing something soon to back up what I would like to think and hope.
I think the embargo limits us to a budget. So we can still sign players as long as our budget is the same as it was in January.
Ah ok, that’s a shame, I was hoping for some better news, maybe soon.
I’m ambivalent about Williams he didn’t make a significant contribution in the last 9 games and his general fitness level limits him to 60-75 minutes per game. But he should be able to contribute at Div1 level.
We’re being linked with iminent signings, so either something has changed regarding our transfer embargo or someone is spreading a load of bull. Will the real investors please stand up?
