Marian Mihail Speaks

If you haven’t seen it click here for an interview that the good peeps at CAST had with new director Marian Mihail yesterday.
Words as Addicks know only so well are easy. It’s actions and doing rather than words that we need right now.
Still, Mihail’s interview provided some good feedback and it’s encouraging that it was at the behest of Tahnoon Nimer and that providing the EFL evidence of source and sufficiency of funds was the priority.
“We are just the paramedics who are patching him up and keeping him alive. MM explained that “patching him up” in this case means getting the embargo lifted and ensuring sufficient funds to retain the players and to cover the 20/21 budget “whenever that season will be able to start.”
An alarm bell for me is how well Nimer knows the two Romanians. He appears to only recently fallen for the ‘charms’ of Mihail and Claudiu Florica as they attempt to buy Dinamo Bucharest. And now they are on our board!
We’ll see.
Clearly Nimer has questionable judge of character – he gave Southall 35% of ESI.
Hopefully he won’t have made the same mistake again, but who knows?
I’m hoping that these two are on the board because they know a bit about football and also because TN simply needs someone at CAFC who he can trust and the club needs desperately some directors and direction. I wonder who else he knows in the football world? I doubt anyone directly – and the last person he trusted he didn’t know and that worked out badly. Frankly Claudiu Florica looks as dodgy as a £9 note but if as abovehe is a “paramedic” rather than the surgeon and he moves on pronto then I’ll be happy. We need a CEO though.
Still it might see us pick up some new Romanian fans…
