Gallen becomes Director of Football

Most thought Matt Southall made a Freudian slip yesterday calling Steve Gallen the “Director of Football,” but nope, today the Chairman unveiled Steve as the club’s Director of Football.
Steve was made a director by the Duchatelet, but had to resign once ESI took over. This role will give him real authority when negotiating plus the backing of Southall and the obvious support of Bowyer. Sometimes DoF and head coach/manager can clash, but Gallen and Bow are like two peas in a pod and have leant on each other heavily in the last 18 months.
If ever anyone was deserving of recognition it is Gallen. The man has worked miracles and this is another ESI decision that deserves applauding.
