Peterborough United 0 Charlton Athletic 0

Seems as Karlan Grant wasn’t the only person on his way out at the ABAX today as Posh’s Steve Evans also got his marching orders after the game. Posh have won just 3 games since October.

On paper a draw away at fellow promotion rivals is a good point but we dominated proceedings in the 2nd half and Grant’s poor penalty ultimately cost us 3 crucial points.

2,600 Addicks noisily backed the team today. Peterborough had the best of the early exchanges but we got a foothold of the game and the half ended pretty even.

Grant hit the cross bar at the start of the 2nd half and once Reeco Hackett-Fairchild came on for Pratley we went two up top as we pushed for a winner. With 12 minutes left Cullen’s race into the box ended in him being fouled, but Grant missed the chance to sign of win his 15th goal of the season.

Addicks at the ABAX: Doctor Kish;
Bow: “Our fans didn’t stop singing for the whole 90 minutes, it was some turnout, the noise was unreal. I’m just disappointed for everybody. Not in a bad way, in a positive way.”
Elsewhere: Luton move top after winning at Southend. The Hatters form hasn’t subsided since Nathan Jones left. Barnsley came behind to beat Rochdale 2-1. Blackpool won away at Coventry.

    I did not agree with team selection, three defensive midfielders and only one forward supported by two other midfielders. I stick with what I said on Thusday/Friday Hackett Fairchild should have played up front with the option of moving Bauer up front towards the end of the game.
    Moving onto another subject – the U23s were due to play Crystal Palace this afternoon (Monday) but the game has been moved to tomorrow (Tuesday) NO MENTION ON THE CAFC WEBSITE- another monumental failure by Charlton’s pathetic media team. Saturday’s U18 game away at Crystal Palace was rearranged for March 2nd again no mention on the CAFC website. Although not many supporters are involved I would suggest that they are among the most dedicated and therefore deserve significantly more consideration.
