Williams signs on a permanent
A 6-month deal seems smart. It means Jonny Williams actually becomes our player as opposed to someone else’s. We’re not just the vehicle that gets him fit or puts him in the shop window. In the summer we will be in the box seat to keep him depending on how both parties get on and it gives Williams a platform to showcase his talents, and importantly from Charlton’s perspective if the Welshman breaks down again then we are not paying him for years to come.
Welcome Jonny, I don’t really care where you came from, it’s the here and now that counts. Williams comes across as a good man, let’s hope it’s our side of South London where his career really takes off.
Bowyer said Williams will be on the bench tomorrow and wants to bring another one or two in early in the January window.
