Blackpool 2 Charlton Athletic 1

Oh well, at least we can concentrate on the Cup. Oh..
Always going to happen wasn’t it after we rested the whole team to whimper out of the Cup. Fast forward to the next league game 7 days later we concede a late winner. Meanwhile Doncaster scored 4 away from home. Blackpool also put out a strong side last week. Think that debate is settled, don’t you?
Sounded a piss-poor first half, but 2nd we did a lot to deserve a draw and possibly we were the likely winners.
I didn’t really follow the game, unless re-freshing Twitter counts, but with 20 games gone we really are struggling to impose ourselves on the top 6. We’ve just come of the back of four straight wins but still sit 13 points behind Portsmouth and outside the play-off places. Goes without saying that we will need a big performance down on the south coast on Tuesday.
Bow deservedly won the November MoM after a positive month, but now for me we need an even more positive December.
Addicks at Bloomfield Road: Doctor Kish;
Bow: “Second half, I thought we controlled the game very well and created so many chances. We just weren’t ruthless enough and they nicked it at the end. For me, when we equalised, it felt like only one team were going to win this game. It was just a matter of time, but then to concede a goal like that was just frustrating.”
Elsewhere: Pompey go from strength to strength beating Southend 2-0. Barnsley lost at Wycombe. Luton go 2nd after beating Fleetwood. Accrington’s game with Sunderland was abandoned 15 minutes from the end due to torrential rain.
I was disappointed that Reeves and Ajose were on the bench as they were so poor last week Dijksteel was dropped again and Stevenson played despite not looking ready for league football last week (his time will come but he needs more time). If the takeover is to happen it should be in the next two weeks to give time to organise what could happen in January.
Can’t see it rierti. But another reason the preceding month is so vital.
