Bristol Rovers 1 Charlton Athletic 1

An away point is still an away point..
I’m in Sarasota at the moment and was unable to pay yesterday’s game a lot of attention, but it said a lot about what Lee Bowyer has brought that the result was considered disappointing.
From looking around at the post match comments it sounded like the performance lacked the intensity and attacking quality of the previous games, yet the pitch was poor and Bristol Rovers are not.
We never apparently grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and went a goal down, for the first time in 4 games, from a surprising Jason Pearce error, but after a good passing move Ben Reeves equalized just before the break.
A point is still a point although it is a shame that results of fellow play-off contenders turned on their head with Scunthorpe, Plymouth and Portsmouth all scoring very late, so it was disappointing that we couldn’t also snatch a late winner.
Just 2 points separate Argyle in 5th and Scunthorpe in 9th. Us and Argyle have played a game less. Six massive games left starting on Tuesday night in Kingston upon Thames.

Help CA – advice needed urgently. I see that season tickets are going on sale on Thursday and we were hoping to be back in the fold again. It has been so painful not renewing and we thought the end was in sight. But what do we do? Is the old bastard going to stay after all? I am not happy about giving him a penny – but we are going to be out of the country now for the rest of the season (unless we make the playoffs of course) and had hoped to get our season tickets before we go. Oh lord. I really want my money to go to the new owners, but am desperate to have our seats back.
I know you’re asking CA and not me, but anyway i just wanted to say that i’m holding off (despite the pain) until the sale goes thru’. I wouldn’t put it past Roland that all this talk of a takeover is an elaborate rouse.
LP. Well my advice would be to hold off. I know you will be away and you want your regular seat but there is no reason to buy a season ticket in April. In over 4 years RD has given us zero reasons to trust him, and I’m starting to question his motives now in this takeover and more-so than ever there is no one at the club second guessing him and taking him to task. Even Pinocchio may have done that occasionally.
Don’t trust the bastard. Please wait.
Thanks both – I know you are right – of course I do. Hoping for a miracle in the next 2 days.
