A strong and unified performance tonight at the league leaders. In the wider context of our previous form, it was an excellent and well deserved point on the road which can provide a platform that takes us deep into the new year. Robinson and the players have to remain focused, particularly the manager, whilst all around them takeover fever has set in.
The manager has been rightly criticized recently due to his coaching, but he too should take plenty of credit tonight along with the back four. Konsa shined in a couple of positions and Jacko led, of course, by example.
On the radio it sounded as of KAG got himself into some good scoring positions. Sadly he was unable to finish one. Still a result to be proud off and in many ways a typical Charlton away performance, when Charlton are being typical of course.
Huge kudos as well to the close to 400 Addicks in the ground. Safe journey home to them.

Good summary CA. Its the first time I’ve seen us park the bus under Karl, and it shows he does have a plan B! Went with my son and we both expected a 3-0 defeat, so this felt like a win and we were really buzzing. Wigan are the best side I have seen by some way this season.They close you down quickly with 4 players, and can knock the ball around or hit the far post for a header. I think their CB was frequently used in an attacking role because of his aerial prowess. Their shooting was exceptional – they seemed to always hit target despite a lot of bodies in the box.
I thought the ref would do us though – he booked Marshall for not retreating at a free kick after a nano second, ignored the clout that Kashi got to the back of the head, then booked him for a nothing foul. This was pretty early on and I could see a second yellow coming later in the game.
Ben and Nabby were MOM, but Marshall put in a very good performance. His dead ball delivery is poor, but he is always looking to receive the ball, and most of our attacks came down his flank. KAG did the thankless task well, and fashioned three half chances for himself.
Really liked the ground. Wigan made some nice welcoming touches and their programme is excellent. Lots of Charlton related material. As at Blackburn, a few hundred of us completely outsung the home fans – its at times like this you realise how good our home support is.
