Katrien Meire gone

I was woken by a big storm during the night, our garden furniture took a bit of a battering as the wind howled around outside, but what I was unaware of, was that Santa Claus had reappeared bringing more gifts.

“Katrien Meire has decided to stand down from her roles as CEO and Director of Charlton Athletic and will leave the club at the end of the month.”

Absolutely fantastic news, along with a comment from Roland Duchatelet that “Katrien will leave at the end of this month but we’re not looking to directly replace her as we’re currently in talks with various interested parties regarding a potential takeover of the club.”

Meire has been a drain on resources since walking into The Valley in January 2014. Offering little or no expertise or direction in her role of CEO, which she was clearly unqualified for. She leaves behind a litany of mistakes, PR blunders and gaffes.

Clearing the decks for a takeover, and getting rid of the rubbish first.

Thank you God. And a Happy New Year to you CA. Your talk of sunshine inspired us and we are off to find some for the new year rather than be at the Valley on New Years Day. And it doesn’t hurt one little bit. But as soon as he has gone we will be back ready for the big re-build and proud to be part of it.

    • It’s a good day to be a CAFC fan LP, with plenty more hopefully around the corner.

Enjoy your sunshine break. Happy New Year.
