Walsall 2 Charlton Athletic 2

Broken record..
The tale of Charlton Athletic is one big broken LP. Not taking our chances, conceding too many goals, no impact from the bench, nothing on the bench offensively at least, scrimping in the transfer window, a frail looking squad with no options, bemoaning the loss of world beaters Marshall and Reeves. Yup Karl, we have heard this tune before.
I listened on the radio and we were so dominant for the first half hour. Fosu scored and Magennis was desperately unlucky with a header that was tipped onto an upright. Although watching the highlights he should have scored!
We then feel asleep in the box as Roberts, completely unmarked, turned the ball in. Then 2nd half we were second best and if anyone sounded like they were going to grab it, then it was them with Oztumer the most influential player on the pitch.
Then out of nothing Holmes scores a wonderful volley – he alone is worth the annual Valley Pass fee, but then straight from the kick off (12 seconds to be exact) Bauer gets turned far too easily and Agyei scores from outside the box and Walsall get the draw they deserve after it looked as if we were going to steal all 3 points.
All in all a very disappointing performance and result with a much tougher looking run of games to come.
