I looked at the Southend team before the game and thought it looked pretty useful and Phil Brown carries a small squad that has injuries. The Shrimpers by all accounts were organized and carried forward threat, and they dominated possession in the early stages as we struggled to impose ourselves. All those things considered today was a very good victory and momentum is building as is fan belief.
Very early days, but Robinson has built a team ethos, and that shone today. And also, how the heck has Ricky Holmes never played at a higher level?
Two goals close together is always dreamy. Josh Magennis is hot at the moment and he finished a nice team move with his head before Ricky added his regular worldly. Of course we still had to make it difficult when White pulled one back unmarked from a corner. Southend threw balls and men forward and Magennis headed one off the line us we hung on to go 2nd.

As for hurricane. We are fine in Bermuda. And Jose that was heading here has just taken a turn back to the poor Caribbean.
But, big but, we have a holiday home in Sarasota which is going to get a direct hit from Irma. I will write something on the storms later.
Pleased to hear about hurricane, less so about holiday home. Still thinking of visiting Bermuda at end of British winter.
Wyn, hurricane season has been very active here the last few years and runs until the end of November, but realistically Sept and Oct are the target months. Conversely this month the humidity drops and the weather is beautiful.
There are a fair few Addicks here Wyn that would love to host you.

I think you are over reacting to the tense used in a throwaway remark. However, Sheffield United show a continued interest in Holmes and would probably be prepared to make a higher offer next time. And I wouldn’t trust the current owners to turn it down.

But in answer to the man coming out of the north stand as we left yesterday – no, I am not throwing away my black and white scarf. I would love nothing more than to burn it in the garden, and I will one day, but not until he (or even she ) goes. If you think a few wins changes everything that is up to you. I imagine you are a big Karl fan so make the most of this time. I would not tell you to wear a protest scarf so please leave me alone to make my own choices.

Hi LP. I’m excited for what Robinson is building. Just shows what can happen when a manager is allowed time and some sort of autonomy. And he has some form of ability. However we are only a sudden knee jerk from the mad professor or a brain fart from Ms Meire for it all to go pear shaped. I want them out and to see only less than 11,000 official Addicks at The Valley yesterday shows the long term damage they have done.
Yet I’m am enjoying our start, albeit from afar. Support the team not the regime.
It doesn’t sound like 2cv agrees with Karl Robinson’s recent inclusivity comments regarding the protesting supporters then, anything that complicated is far too subtle for that twat. WOOSH! Robison comes across as a human being, unlike the robot troll.

There are studies being carried into trolling becoming addictive pastime to those who participate in it. You’ve been at it along time now, it’s not at all mentally healthy and will only make you unhappy, For god’s sake why don’t you give up your hate and seek professional counselling help.
