That was a very good result in South Yorkshire today. There is the small matter of 42 games left, but these are the results it takes to win promotion. We were dogged, resilient, and carried a killer instinct. Solly by all accounts was tremendous as was Amos, Bauer and Kashi but plaudits all around the pitch and to the travelling Addicks.

But, one thing, there are 42 games left. Squads win promotions, and modern medicine will not prevent a Magennis, Holmes, JFC, Kashi, Reeves or a Solly from missing games. Robinson’s post match comments carried another veiled warning that he won’t be able to add to his squad. His start deserves the opportunity and I really hope he gets it.

Lastly, I spent the whole 90 minutes getting a massage. I’d recommend it. Well it was my birthday! A happy ending indeed.
