AFC Wimbledon 1 Charlton Athletic 1

Another draw, another late goal conceded, another lapse of concentration. Not good enough especially with the supposed quality of our back five.

We seem unable to score more than one goal and cannot kill teams off. We had a dream start with Ricky Holmes’ free-kick and either side of half-time there were numerous chances for us to finish the game off. From the radio Wimbledon couldn’t seem to get out of their own way but after Magennis was bundled over in the box they went up the other end in injury time and Elliott scored and was then promptly sent off.

Addick’s everywhere collectively shook their heads.

It didn’t occur to me the apathy with which Karl Robinson was greeted. A flag was unveiled during the game which put ‘RD out’ flags forcibly removed around the country to shame and clearly over the year’s Robinson had shouted his mouth off (can’t believe that) against the original Dons once too often. Anyway it wasn’t necessary that the groundsman decided to give Robinson a piece of his mind, but sadly once again dear old Karlos steals the limelight.

The need for 3 points at Oldham has just increased. Up against old foe John Sheridan it is a full league schedule so equally there is a chance to further lose ground on the top six.
