Charlton Athletic 0 Peterborough United 2
Bit of a shocker today by all accounts as we were comfortably beaten by Peterborough at The Valley in front of more sparse stands. Robinson pretty much involved everyone available to him, and despite losing Lee Novak who has joined the injured ranks, he played a very attacking formation with Lookman, Botaka, Magennis and Ajose all starting.
This all seemed to leave an already pedestrian midfield even more isolated and I feel for Morgan Fox, who obviously is not playing well but I don’t agree with booing your own players.
Sadly yet again fans saw nothing of any over promised attacking play. Two defeats and two draws now in four games, and not an auspicious start from the latest appointment and certainly not living up to his own hype and with no sign of any new manager bounce. I wonder what Kevin Nugent thinks?
Even Robinson couldn’t talk up that showing and was very honest in his own assessment afterwards. Not good enough he said. Quite. Back down to 13th in mid table sandwiched between Gillingham and Millwall.
At least he has a nice easy one on Wednesday. Mind you, if he can get his first win then Robinson has the chance to reach Kim Grant legendary status….

Mate, it was grim. It was about as poor as I remember at The Valley since the early days of Chris Powell’s reign with the likes of McCormack and Noble.
I know it is going to take a while for the new Manager’s changes to take effect but on this showing (based on our owners) he will be sacked before he turns it around.
The bloke hasn’t got a chance sadly as he won’t be given the time. This was 85% woeful and my instinct about not going will not be ignored again – I’m not wasting my money. Please, please Roly piss off.
KHA & LP – And that is the problem.
1) Will KR be allowed to sign a handful of players to allow him to dictate his own style. This not taking into account that he will definitely lose Lookman, probably Konsa and possibly Fox.
And 2) How long before he is sacked if he can’t produce instant results under the restrictions RD and therefore KM will enforce.
I have to say his big mouth may well hurry up the inevitable especially if there is no improvement over Slade. And he has to cope with a growing injury list which Slade didn’t have to.
I would not be surprised if we end the season with Kevin Nugent in charge of the first team.
Perhaps old Douchebag will send an email to Karl Robinson telling him where he’s going wrong !! 🙁
