Charlton Athletic 1 Oldham Athletic 1

Well that sounded utterly painful and depressing and not forgetting, rubbish.
Again we were ahead, although unlike last week against AFC Wimbledon, this time undeserved. But we were ahead thanks to a well worked goal scored by Josh Magennis, yet leading only appears to be a signal for Russell Slade to sit deep and lock up shop.
One up front, a pedestrian midfield and Lookman on the bench. Hardly a shot at goal for 95 minutes and lucky to escape with a point against a team second from bottom and who had not scored in 6 of their previous 9 league games.
All this played out in front of thousands upon thousands of empty seats with the real crowd estimated at under 7,000.
The negativity of Slade is mind blowing and the players are obviously either unable or not prepared or coached to take the game to the opposition. The abundant riches of our defence, reshuffled again due to Lennon’s suspension, plus keeper Rudd, are finding it impossible to keep a clean sheet.
Two wins from 10 is not good enough and something is seriously wrong. It’s too early to show Slade the door, but although he was brutally honest in his post match interview, we need to see some evidence quickly from him that he can be the man to give us the best opportunity of a quick return to The Championship.
At the present time, he does not.

CA it was absolute shite, I only go to night games these days due to where I live & my job, I am so glad there is not another night game for some time, it was dire and in the top 5 of worst performances I have seen watching this mob since 1968, (Walsall in League cup during prem years, 1-0 defeat was the worst!!!).
I think we should look at the positives. I thought the attempt at the crossbar challenge at half time was pretty nifty – the 45 mins either side of that .. not so good. In fact like you, considering the level we are at, I struggle to recall a worse performance.
