Slade leaves Cardiff

Although he is meant to be on his holidays Russell Slade’s current club Cardiff City have announced that he has left the club by mutual agreement.
Slade was made Cardiff’s head of football at the end of the season, moving upstairs after leading the Welsh club to an 8th place Championship finish. Clearly Slade wasn’t happy with losing his managerial job and has been in the frame for a host of vacancies since.
Blackburn was thought to be his desired location but after Rovers appointed Owen Coyle a day ago, it is now expected that Katrien Meire will unveil the ex-Orient manager as the Addicks latest head coach. Expect Slade to bring with him Lee Southernwood, Cardiff’s current head of fitness & Conditioning.
What will become apparent pretty soon is how much autominy the head coach is given by Duchatelet. Whether he is named as manager or head coach, will give us some sort of steer. If, as I expect Duchatelet continues to meddle and not take any advice, then frankly it doesn’t matter if Russell Slade or Noddy Holder take the poisoned chalice!
Let’s hope that Roland keeps ‘Far Far Away’
Yeah n less ope fishface does n all, Roland is the owner in case you aint eard.
Well a2c although I’ve no doubt at all that yours will be the regime’s most fetid (oops, sorry I of course meant feted) ‘face’ at the valley next season I think you will find that Duchatelet and Meire will be grateful for all the ‘faces’ that they can get through the turnstiles, fishy or otherwise.
Not a Slade fan then a2c? Thought it would be right up your street, ‘Mama Were All Crazee Now’ (1972)
Oops, sorry a2c, the spellchecker intervened and got me spelling wrong! ‘Mama Weer All Crazee Now’
I know how particular an’ all you are
Well if Noddy, sorry I mean Russell has any sense he will hold out for the longest contract he can get, because he could be lonely this Christmas, but with the right contract it could be Christmas every day,he could even take his family on a fairytale trip to new York, they do say there will be snow this Christmas, and with the big new limo he would be able to afford he could driving home for christmas, but I don’t expect him to be on the streets of London for long.
