Brentford 1 Charlton Athletic 2
A win. We actually scored more goals than the other team. Callum Harriott has often saved his best work away from home for Jose Riga and he was a 2-goal hero, the first after just 19 seconds.
Makienok also hit the bar late on and we have suddenly found where the goal is, although yet another goal was conceded from a corner despite Riga putting his defensive line up in another Karel Fraeye’s automatic team selector. Henderson missing out according to Riga due to a dead leg.
Unfortunately Rotherham and MK Dons both also won, but we can’t rely on ourselves let alone anybody else but if we can build some confidence and put some sort of run together, then, well, yes I know, silly me. But Tuesday, vitally significant already, has just added another layer of consequence.
At least a Saturday night can be spent with a smile on our faces and I’m particularly happy for those Addicks who chose to go to Griffin Park today. They have been owed that for some time.
Addick Bloggers at Griffin Park: Chris Powell’s Flat Cap; Doctor Kish; Albury Addick.
Relegation watch: Rotherham won at neighbours Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons beat QPR. Bolton lost at Leeds and as we hope the bottom four are able to pull Fulham and Bristol City back towards us, Fulham drew at Reading and City lost at home to Cardiff.

33 points still to play for. Tuesday is massive. Come on you Reds!!
Is Jose Riga the second coming of Lennie Lawrence? Will it go to the final day of the season? I doubt it…but great to win again
At last we achieved a result away…..now lets see it happen on Tuesday….Come on you Reds !!!
ALL the fans need to raise the roof on Tuesday and make MK Dons feel unwelcomed on the pitch……Tuesday is a night where we need to unite and as we’ve done before create a winning atmosphere for us !!!
