Injury list no better

Whilst Franck Moussa has been like a new signing after a year out with injury, this summer’s signings Simon Makienok, Christian Ceballos and Ahmed Kashi are still sidelined with injuries depite a fortnight’s resting up period.
The Addcks go to in-form Reading tomorrow still injury hit with no sign of Stephen Henderson, Igor Vetokele or Reza either, although in a pretty uninformative update from Guy Luzon it does appear that the Iranian and Makienok are at least back in training.
Luzon was also vague of match-rescuer Johnnie Jackson. In my mind without any shadow of a doubt, the skipper has to start ahead of Ba and the head coach has to find room to play both Jacko and Moussa. With little choices, that should not be too difficult.
Luzon has talked up Reading this week, which could be mind games or making excuses early. It will be a tough game but I will be hoping we can see a continuation of the spirit and to use a Guy word, commitment, that dragged us out of a sure-fire defeat at home to Fulham two weeks ago. We have to cling to something.
I will be at Philadelphia Airport after getting off a red-eye from San Francisco before getting on a flight home to Bermuda just after kick-off. Probably best to be in the clouds. Come on you reds!
