A poor defensive display today with almost a pre-season friendly atmosphere told to me by those that were there. Disappointing after recent weeks but this team had to lose again at some point especially if the defensive errors re-appear on the scene.

I’d rather not Gomez play every game but Ben Haim did not improve the defensive solidarity shown in recent weeks and it sounded as is Roger Johnson had a ‘mare.

Blackburn are a funny old team, unbeatable one week, terrible the other but in three games this season they have beaten us convincingly in every one. Jordan Rhodes missed one of those games but has still managed to score 4 goals against us. Remember when Michael Morrison used to have him in his pocket?

My immediate concern is season tickets. I know far too many people that are not going to renew next season despite the recent upturn in form. The club need to be very cognisant of this with four attractive home games remaining

Elsewhere in The Championship: Blackpool conceded their 10th goal against Bournemouth this season losing 4-0, Wigan had a massive win at Rotherham to take them two wins behind the Yorkshiremen. Millwall lost at Bolton, Brighton drew with Wolves and Fulham drew with Sheffield Wednesday.
