Kevin Nolan
Word comes via Rick Everitt on Charlton Life that well-known Addicks’ scribe Kevin Nolan had a stroke on Sunday morning and is currently in hospital.
Gladly, according to Rick, his prognosis appears good, so we all hope for a speedy recovery.
Kevin is about as Charlton as you can get, and with the likelihood of him not being at The Valley Saturday as both a fan and a matchday reporter for Greenwich.co.uk, it got me wondering when the last time he actually missed a game?
I have met Kevin before and any long term away travellers will know him well. My Mum in fact used to work with his son, and therefore she was a good source of club gossip back in the day.
Kevin’s real skill though is with a keyboard. From someone who loves to write and express themselves on ‘paper,’ Kevin’s match reports are a work of art.
His Charlton reports are a must following a game, and there is no one better at describing the depths and the heights of emotions of being a Charlton fan. His style is very distinct and his words in whatever cycle of mood we have been in as a club have always been both incisive and forthright, and always with a good old fashioned dollop of often much needed humour thrown in.
Get well soon Kevin.

So sad to hear this news & hope with all my heart that Kevin makes a full recovery, his match reports as you say CA are a work of art. Get well soon Kevin x
Well said, 100% agree.
So sad to hear this – a speedy recovery and no lasting damage to hope for. Keep on writing! Louis Kleinman (and Rachel in Oz)
Sorry to hear that. Kevin’s an Addick to the bone, a great observer and has a way with words. Get well soon fellow Red.
