Charlton in new network signing shocker
Whilst I don’t understand a lot about the benefits of the network, it does seem strange to me that the club let two of it’s young goalkeepers leave on loan, but then sign another young keeper on a permanent deal from Roland Duchâtelet’s Újpest. A 22-year old who has not played a competitive league game this season.
Marko Dmitrović last played in front of 500 spectators in the Hungarian Cup in October. He has played 4 games for Serbia U21’s, who beat Spain to qualify for this summer’s finals in the Czech Republic.
According to Ben Roberts, whose knowledge I trust, Dmitrović is to compete with Neil Etheridge for first choice. What a goalkeeper merry-go-round!

Presuming that Henderson’s season is over, can only see him being on the bench. It will be good for Pope and Phillips to get more games between now and May, while the only other keeper we have is Mitov, who is very young. Longer term, next season this guy will be third choice at least if Henderson is fit, Pope kept on, while Etheridge may be released?
