Leeds United 2 Charlton Athletic 2

A great edge of the seat performance tonight. Not from Charlton but by Peter Finch and Terry Smith on CAFC Player, who delivered another wonderfully biased and passionate commentary.
It was a very good point in the circumstances, and I do wonder if we’d have continued with 11 players after JBG’s penalty, if we might have gone onto win it. Certainly Elland Road was in meltdown and Bob appeared to want to go for it.
As it was we finished with Wilson at left back, Cousins at right back, Gudmundsson right side midfield, Igor left side, Jackson and Coquelin in the middle and with debutant and not match fit Oguchi Onyewu up front on his own.
Oguchi Onyewu, who makes Bikey look tiny, won a lot of headers and caused a general nuisance of himself whilst Coquelin who came on for booked again Buyens was getting good reviews from Peter and Terry.
One would think Igor will be ready to start Saturday. George was ineffective and I couldn’t quite work out where Harriott was playing, but once again he appeared to fluff his opportunity.
JBG looks like he is rediscovering his early season form and squeezed in the first from another Wiggins assist and dispatched the penalty, with bitterness raining down all around him, with aplomb.
Rhoys Wiggins has had a slow start to the season, as has often been the case, but just as he is picking up his game, he has gone and got injured again. First reports are that it is quite serious. I really feel for him.
That was our 9th draw, but one we can be proud off after another hands to the pumps performance. Kudos too, to the travelling band of Addicks, who made themselves heard amongst the very retro Leeds chants of “Champions of Europe.”
Addicks Bloggers at Elland Road: Doctor Kish.
Around the League: Bournemouth who won 2-0 at Hillsborough, their 6th consecutive win go top, with Middlesbrough 2nd. Boro stuffed Norwich 4-0. Derby beat Huddersfield and Ipswich Wolves. Bolton and Reading both had 3-0 home wins over Cardiff and Rotherham respectively and 10-man Millwall came from behind again to grab a late draw at home to Blackburn.
We had 18 shots to your 6 and a piss poor referee and if anything you parked the bus when Wiggins hobbled off and kudos to the 300 travelling fans. Pathetic away following as usual.
But being ‘Champions of Europe’ you are bound to get a much bigger following – albeit a pretty ancient one with awfully long memories.
Seems to me that 300 did more than your nearly 300 managers your owners going through this season.
