Streets of San Francisco

After collecting my lost suitcase just an hour before I left my Los Angeles hotel, I flew north this morning to San Francisco where I will be until Friday.
I spent most of yesterday sat in a meeting room, but it did have a perfect view of the ‘Hollywood’ sign in the distance (photo). I didn’t walk beyond a small radius of downtown LA, which was as crazed and eccentric as I remember it. You take your chances walking block to block moving between drug-deranged homeless people flailing their arms around their heads to very cool looking restaurants and cafe’s.
Talking of which, the Water Grill on Grand Ave deserves a mention for a fantastically delicious lunch yesterday.
In San Fran we have a couple of full-on work days sandwiching a day in Napa Valley on Wednesday. The day in Napa is slated as day of bonding, which will no doubt be blurred by wine. I am very excited about being in Napa, as it is one of my favourite places in the world.
Friday I take the day flight to Miami, where I have been invited to watch the Miami Dolphins host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. So a nice quiet weekend in South Beach to end a strenuous week on the west coast! I hope my suitcase sticks with it.
Hi CA
It’s been a while since I last commented. Hope you enjoy the game Sunday. You’ve previously mentioned you have Packer and Badger friends from your time in Chicago, so I hope you’ll be cheering on the cheeseheads. Given the fact that Dolphins games are so easy to get tickets for and with the great travelling fans Green Bay have I expect it to be like a home game, just warmer !. Include the game when blogging early next week.

Hi Russell, you are right in that I have a lot of Packers mates, so will probably root for them on Sunday and Packers, like Bears have fans all over the country so should be a good atmosphere. I will defintely post after the game.
