Eataly

In New York City for a couple of days of working, and continuing to work on my project of how the World Cup impacted the life of American’s.

My Chicago homecoming last week was short and sweet and left me craving for more. It certainly is my kind of town, and as anticipated I ate well.

One place in particular that I loved was Eataly, Mario Batali’s gigantic theme park of Italian foods. Previously the fading ESPN Zone this 63,000 sq.ft Italian food heaven was fantastic.

The food emporium comes complete with a Nutella bar, a mozzarella “lab,” a brewpub, a gelateria, two cafes, a farmers market, a wine library, cooking school plus seven restaurants and all the cured meat, cheese, bread and olive oil one’s heart could possibly desire. I could have moved in there.

If you get the chance to visit one, there are Eataly’s also in New York, Dubai, Istanbul, Japan and Italy, then please go.
