Crystal Palace take their Class A drugs, fireworks and warm tins of McEwans to The Den tonight for what should be a firecracker of a game.

Ordinarily when these two clubs come together I favour the Bermondsey boys. I mean it’s not much of a choice is it, but if I had to say one it would be Millwall, but that was before tonight.

The game this evening is a right little conundrum for us watching Addicks. If Millwall lose they are right in the doo-doo. A Palace win would confirm their play-off place against Brighton. A Millwall win puts them safe, a Palace defeat will put extreme pressure on them at home to in-form Peterborough on Saturday. A draw just delays the pain. Palace’s record at The Den mind you, is almost as bad as ours.

After 16 years apart it looks as if we might lose one of our local rivals again, heaven hopes it’s out of the bottom and not out the top.
