Frimpong in on loan
“I love his raw enthusiasm. The only problem is to keep him on the right track. Like every generous guy, you don’t want to see him lose that. He’s a real fighter. You would love to go to war [alongside] Frimpong. He has a good mixture of confidence, humility and energy. He learns as well. So after the heat, he accepts that he needs to think about what is wrong and right.”
A quote attributed to Arsene Wenger on new loan signing Emmanuel Frimpong.
Frimpong has fought back from two serious injuries but has already made 16 appearances for the Gunners. Highly rated, strong in the tackle and the 20-year old impressed at Wolves last season, whilst on loan and Molineux was expected to be his destination for this 6-week loan, but something changed on Friday when rumours appeared that he was heading to The Valley.

Sorry Chicago – I don’t care if he is Messi – I don’t like being used. Get him fit your bloody self Wenger and not at the expense of one of our own players. Do they think we are stupid? I am so disappointed about all the loans – whilst I understand the left back (although there was one person left at the club who could have played there), why oh why do we do it? Friends will say I’m two-faced because I loved Costa but somehow that was different. We have a big squad – what’s the point? I feel so so sorry for our own players when this happens. If they are not in the 1st team they must secretly pray for injuries so they can get their chance – and then what happens? Some parasitic premiership side comes along and we are pathetically grateful. Agh.
