Friday night live

Despite a 13 day gap between matches tomorrow seems to have come around really quickly. I am trying to see if I can watch the game live on the box somewhere, although I may have to settle for a dodgy internet feed. Nothing like being there of course where I hope Addicks make it as uncomfortable as possible for the Croydon lot on and off the pitch.

With no incomings and with just Leon Clarke going out, I am hopeful that Powell puts out a team tomorrow in a formation that fits better around the pool of players he has.

It really didn’t look to me that the midfielders knew their exact roles at Forest and I have to think starting with Stephens and Hollands in the middle will give them a bit more familiarity. 4-4-2 is our natural formation but if Powell is worried about being overrun in midfield then I would rather see Kermorgant in a more withdrawn role behind BWP or have Hollands and Pritchard deeper with three more attack-minded players ahead of them in a more yielding formation. I suspect Fuller will begin on the bench but hopefully we also see less reliance on the ball to Yann’s head. Anyway trust in Chris Powell.

Of course the most important thing tomorrow night is that the players recognise the importance of the occasion and give every ounce of effort and commitment. We should expect nothing less. Let’s cheer them from the rafters. Come on you reds.
