Home town
Chicago, my kind of town.
My third day here and sadly I have to leave tomorrow, although happily I will be back in a few weeks. Fortunately the 100 degree heatwave is over and the weather has been beautiful these last couple of days encouraging late night strolling around familiar streets and sights.
Yesterday I spent the morning at a licensing classroom out in the boonies, it was 5 hours I will never get back, but at least it provided the excuse to return to one of my ‘homes,’ which on the drive back into the city yesterday I worked out I have four.
Places that feel like home that I have a real attachment to: London, my parents actual home in East Sussex, Chicago and naturally the home I live in, in Bermuda.
I have managed to catch up with a few old friends and tonight I am meeting three of my best Chicago mates to go on a little crawl to some new drinking and eating establishments around Wicker Park and Bucktown.
This week begins a travelling frenzy over the next five when I will be flying somewhere different each week. Bring those air miles on.

This supposed experienced premier league midfielder that we’re supposed to sign better not be Joey Barton…. Just a thought
