Charlton Athletic 2 Notts County 4
Jesus H Christ. We’re not even into the last 10 games yet! Get me the Samaritans and quick. If that wasn’t a massive kick up the backside then I don’t know what is. Focus, focus, bloody focus Charlton. There’s still a long way to go.
Thankfully there is no midweek game and a trip up north is probably what we need. And perhaps Powell should reverse his team talks and give the 2nd half one before the game!
Interesting that he didn’t bring on a sub (other than Waggy for the hamstrung Haynes) as if the half time rant was based on the missive of “you got us in this mess, so go and get us out of it.”
Talking of Waggy, he scored one and set up the other. Waggy himself has been pretty rank when he has come on recently, but he’s better desire should sent a message to Powell that there is a squad back there. I’m all for not changing a winning team, but…..
A little a word on County, one has to wonder how well they’d be doing if Keith Curle was there from the beginning of the season, I always thought they had some decent players and their next two games? The two Sheffield clubs.
As for us hopefully talk of our demise is horribly premature.

Powell-ometer: Big, big test now for Powell in that he needs to sit down and now pick his best side for the run in, and I certainly don’t think this is it. To tighten what was a water-tight defence maybe Hughes, Cort and Sullivan should all be considered for action?
Elsewhere: Wednesday were 3-up in 10 minutes at home to Bournemouth, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lee Bradbury be the next manager to get the tin-tack. Sheffield United returned to winning ways winning 2-0 at Brentford with two Ched Evans goals, Huddersfield were held at home by Rochdale but the Terriers are still unbeaten in 345 games! MK Dons beat Exeter 3-0, Carlisle saw off Bury with ease 4-1 and Stevenage drew with Chesterfield after being 2-down.
