A rare treat for me tonight with back to back Charlton games. I’ll drive up this afternoon from my parents and hope to grab a pint in the Rose of Denmark pre-match.
After the euphoric scenes in Bournemouth on Saturday we return home for two games in four days with Essex boys Colchester United up first.
I would be surprised if we see Hamer tonight after he twisted his ankle in the 2nd half on Saturday. No need to risk him and John Sullivan will deputise no doubt and I have a sneaky feeling that Darel Russell might get the nod over Stephens in midfield.
It wasn’t vintage Charlton Saturday but this season’s vintage has a lot of deep character and we’ll need more of that tonight plus hopefully some subtle hints of assertiveness and sparkle.
We as fans have to do our bit as well. Come on you reds.
Two tough home games on the trot CA – both teams are very ‘in form’ – Notts County more so than us! Hoping for some good football.
