I didn’t really enjoy that. Northampton gave us a real run for their money, and never backed off, but we found a way to win, and win we did.

A play-off place is now secured with three games remaining and we move into 4th.

Terry Taylor has moved to fellow L1 club Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season.

This comes as no surprise and I wish him well.

Absolutely no idea where that performance came from, but happy that it did. Take nothing away from the team today, they were excellent.

Our most dominant performance away from home for many a season, and chuffed for the 2,000 Addicks who more out of devotion than expectation spent their Saturday before Christmas in Northampton.

The only way we were going to concede today was by a mistake and it just shows that they are still lurking within us.

A dreadful error from Harry Isted gifted Northampton a point with their only chance of the game 10 minutes before the end. When will these goalkeepers realise they are not Ederson.

Tonight Charlton are looking for their 17th permanent manager in less than 18 years after Alan Curbishley gracefully left his post.

Thanks for the memories Lee

A sad day.

Lee Bowyer gave me one of the best days of my life. 90 +4. Wembley Stadium. Me, my son, my brother, my mates, 39,000 joyous fellow Addicks. Thank you Lee.

This time may well be right for everyone, and although I cringed whenever fellow fans were calling for his head, today’s resignation with a move to Birmingham City expected allows everyone to shake hands turn around, and walk away with a big smile on their faces.

The players were back in the home dressing room tonight, which may well have inspired them to a home win!

In all seriousness changing in the bar or wherever they have been cannot have been helpful these last few months. The players also actually entered the pitch through the tunnel tonight, and not down the west stand steps. Little things.

That was a howler of a game that matched the weather, and the pitch, which was frankly Cobblers.

It was not pretty, but it was a handsome three points, and another bruising defensive display with Ryan Inniss monstrous at the back leading to a further clean sheet.

The first half was desperate and the initial pick of a midfield of Levitt, Williams and Forster-Caskey was far too lightweight. Darren Pratley changed the whole mentality when he was introduced for the 2nd half. His influence was all around him as Williams and Forster-Caskey were much busier and effective. Behind DP Inniss and Famewo dominated.
