If Cristian Ceballos was always going to depart then it begs the question why Karl Robinson used him extensively in the pre-season games thus far. I don’t suspect the ex-Spurs player was one of the highest earners, and those that saw him in Ireland and at Greenwich said he impressed. He may have done a job, although every time I think of Ceballos I think of that corner.
In another communication masterclass Roly’s favourite child STVV announced on their official website this evening the loan signing of Cristian Ceballos, whilst the CAFC media team said that the deal is not yet confirmed.
Ceballos, known only for being injured and taking possibly the worst ever corner kick in Charlton’s 111-year history, has signed for STVV for a season, and no doubt some clever accountant somewhere has worked out how to spread his wages in the most tax efficient manner.

Possibly the creative attacking midfielder Charlton have lacked since Dale Stephens or even Jonjo Shelvey is the latest signing to be announced by the club today.
Cristian Ceballos has never made a first team appearance at Tottenham and was released in the summer, but Spurs fans talk highly of the young attacking midfielder they signed from Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth system. Tim Sherwood, who coached Ceballos at White Hart Lane, has also been complimentary of the Spaniard in the media.
