Who else leaves?

Whilst a new midfielder announcement looks likely soon, and right winger rumours abound, we have to remember that Nathan Jones has to further trim his squad.

We have not seen the ruthelessness we were promised, at least not yet and I think if there are two more incomings, we need to move four on. If the club cash in a high profile player then they would need to be replaced.

We have 22 days left of the transfer window, which seems like a long time, but deals are taking their time to process.

I do think Jones will look at the loan market, but those deals historically are late in the window.

Oloafe, Gough, Zach Mitchell and Ahadme have all gone out on loan as have youngsters Henry Rylah (Solihull Moors) and Josh Laqeretabua (Dorking).

Karoy Anderson, Kaheim Dixon, Macauley Gillesphey and Alex Mitchell were all sold for fees.

I make it that our first team squad is 31 players but the homegrown players under 21 are not counted by the EFL. So, that is Mbick, Mwamba, Fullah and Kanu.

Therefore that makes it 27 and 25 is the maximum allowed.

I have to think that one of Docherty or Rankin Costello will leave, potentially both. Apter is also a real possibility but Jones may want to see him in the early games.

I expect Asiimwe to go out on loan later this month and Kanu will also move on, but so far no club has met Charlton’s valuation. They would rather raise the funds than do a loan. Homegrown sales are net positive for PSR rules.

I also think Jones may sanction a move for either Kaminski, Campbell or Coventry if the money is right and he can replace with better.

While we all wait for the next signing announcement, look out for plenty of outgoings too.
