Collins Sichenje
Here’s one for those Addicks looking for the club to widen their transfer net.
Kenyan and Serbian media (as well as Rich Cawley to add a little bit more source to it) are reporting that Charlton are set to sign Kenyan centre-back Collins Sichenje from Serbian top flight club Vojvodina.
A fee has been agreed of approx £1.7m for the Kenyan international.
Sichenje began his professional journey in Kenya with the AFC Leopards before moving to Europe, where he joined Swedish club AIK in 2022.
The 6ft 2in Kenyan moved to Serbian SuperLiga team FK Vojvodina on loan initially in the summer of 2024 but was soon signed permanently after quickly impressing.
He has played 42 games for Vojvodina, and has been a regular starter this season, although has been sent off twice.
Talk about an unknown quality, but Sichenje is described as athletic, combative, but composed. It’s also said that he has been a big reason why Vojvodina are having an excellent season.

Thank you. I’m badly in need of a rumour. I don’t know what time the Flixbus leaves Belgrade, but there should be time to get this done.
Haha. I am your man, Kevin.
No incoming attack minded strong midfielder which is desperately required? But just another defender, which you have intimated, is an unknown quality and probably no one has ever heard of, or previously watched play beforehand, with just a recommendation from his Agent!
Maybe NY is just looking to pack the defence with 9 players incl the goalie to keep a clean sheet and play one midfielder and Dykes up front by himself, who hasn’t scored now in 19 games, to try and score a goal on the break. 🙂
Anyway wish him the best, as we have absolutely no idea what he is like, but lets just hope he perfoms better than a previous unknown quantity, last minute panic signing, Ahadme.
Get your glasses on Mike and do a bit more research. Its all out there for you to find. Looks preety good to me.

Hi Mike
Yes, saw his name come up the other day, and wow 2 sending offs, but again no Midfielder with what we desperately need.
Still has Jones’s says we aim for a shut out and perhaps we can nick a goal on the break, and his exact words and we aim to win every game and always on the front foot!!!
Well, there is still Monday to look forward too and apart from Coady never heard of all these new players before!! LOL
He’d fit into my pub team anytime but a price of 1.7 m is a bit too far for our cream whip-around and worried his sending off record will further depleat our cofferes…..
Jones need to work on Dykes,Leyburn & Co to start hitting the net.!!!!!
Cliff Precisely
First I think you need to read the posts properly before you comment greenvalley!
I only intimated he was an unknown quantity, same as CA did, so are you also going to tell him to get his glasses on as well?
I never rubbished him and wished him well, if you actually could see through your Rose Tinted glasses, my whole issue was aimed at why is NJ getting in yet another defender, when he has signed so many and what we really need is an attack minded strong midfielder! Obviously you think our current midfield is perfectly adequate.
As for your video, that was three years ago, when he was playing in a much lower team in Sweden!
If you, look you will find plenty of videos of players who have performed well in lower divisions but can’t step up to higher leagues and we have signed enough of those previously. As I have already advised, I wish him well and he might be a great asset, but that won’t matter, if we can’t move forward and start to score goals on a regular basis and win games, as we will then be going down again to Division One, which will probably be much more suited, to quite a few of our current squad!
I am in agreement with you Mike, I would say an aggressive central midfielder who can pass and a left footed cb would be a higher priority than this signing. I don’t know the lad being mentioned, and if he arrives then I would welcome him and go from there. With Coady, Burke, Jones, Z. Mitchell and Ramsey we are quite blessed with right footed defenders who can play in the back 3 or 4. A lad with pace would be a welcome as we are not blessed with a lot that in back 3 or 4.
I will await developments and hope a midfielder and left side defender emerge before the deadline.
I always suspicious of videos, kinda reminds me of those RD signings we made.. 🙄
Once again Joe aribo springs to mind but no chance
I’d love Aribo.
If only he’d want to come home….on my wish list
Mike, Everyone can see it apart from Jones the main man, Oh well as the saying goes ” Let’s give them a chance”
Remember Jorge Costa. One of the best signings ever
TB What a player and the tank
Have to say those commenting on us being in division 1 next season really makes me think that’s where they wish we end up. It’s really quite frightful how some people think 🤔
Well, let’s be fair, most of them are lower Division One standard at best and the truth and please stop drinking out of a half- full glass.
Of course, no one wants this relegation, but in reality we are in this dog fight but we can not even do that!!
I’d rather drink from an half full glass than the bloody empty one you do. Every post from is negative, you obviously hate NJ and yes you do wish us to be relegated and then you can say I told you so, bore off
Keep the faith everyone….Jones the messiah will keep us up !!!
I dont think any of us want to see us relegated I think we are just preparing ourselves NJ isn’t hated i think any manager will be under the cosh with 1 win out 14 tbh NJ has been given the chance so maybe just maybe a change of manager is needed you only gave to look at Norwich city to see that we do have to be realists that there is a big chance of relegation lets hope we can see this fight out. COYR
100% correct Craig unfortunately people like Eaststand, similar to NJ himself, have tunnel vision, cannot see what maybe round the corner so will carry on regardless in the same direction and will not change no matter who advises them, as they are too stubborn and will not listen to any critisim, as they don’t like anyone who disagrees with their own views! Yet if it does go pear shaped they will be the first to blame someone else!
