Jayden Fevrier signs on loan
It was a strange evening down at Sparrows Lane. Clearly the club have never heard of the theory of priming emotion protection.
Researchers use this term to describe the, usually subconscious, desire to “ease into” bad news by starting with something positive. The old good news first approach.
We all know that deals and transactions have their own timeline, but every Addick fan is going to bed tonight praying that when they wake up tomorrow it will be Christmas Day and the club have delivered a load of exciting toys under the tree. On that note Conor Coady is expected to sign tomorrow.
After Tanto Olaofe moved to Stockport on loan, the 22-year old winger or wing-back Jayden Fevrier came the other way down the M6.
Fevrier is a replacement for Apter one assumes, and in honesty his name was being bandied around in the summer they Charlton could take a chance on.
Fevrier is much more powerful than Apter, and quick. He was good last season, he’s been reasonably good this season playing in 21 League games, 14 of those coming off the bench and scorer of 2 goals.
It is a loan deal until the end of the season, and then I presume we see what happens then.
Fevrier is an Essex lad, and came through the West Ham academy, then moved to Colchester and then Stockport signed him in 2024 for an undisclosed fee.
Fevrier will be fit and ready, but is he ready for The Championship? If he impresses and then signs, Fevrier can become another longer term asset. The trouble is we need players that can be assets now.

I don’t want to be cynical but the new signings and loan signings so far really make it look like we are preparing for another season in League Div 1!
NJ will probably use Fevrier as a relacement for AMB! We know how much NJ likes to play player’s out of position.
Norfolk red curtis Fleming has that position on Saturday
