Cody Drameh

Sky Sports have named the Addicks as one of four clubs trailing Hull City’s Cody Drameh.

The 23-year old is comfortable playing left or right wing back, and despite making 12 Championship appearances this season for the high-flying Tigers, he hasn’t played a first team minute since the end of November.

According to local reports on Humberside, Hull turned down bids in the summer for the ex-Fulham youngster who was born in Dulwich, but are now willing to Iet him go for a fee.

Drameh was signed by Leeds as a 19-year old but was unable to break into the team that was in Premier League during his time He did have loan spells at Cardiff and Luton (not during the Nathan Jones period) and Birmingham between 2022 and 2024.

Drameh joined Hull last summer played 29 games last season, and has a contract that runs until 2027, with a further year option. A sizeable fee maybe needed to sign him. Stoke, Millwall and Preston are the other clubs mentioned by Sky as interested.

I’d ask Gregg Docherty about him as as he was at Hull and would be aware of him

NJ has reportedly said that James Bree will be returning to Southampton when his loan deal ends in mid-January so we definitely have a vacancy at RWB especially as Reece Burke is likely to miss a few games here and there.

I like the sound of this deal – he ticks a few boxes in terms of age, experience at this Championship level plus he’s played for Luton and of course he’s local.

    But let’s see what happens…
