Mbick signs contract extension
The Addicks have tied down Micah Mbick to a new contract. Fresh with a new haircut the 18-year old has put pen to paper on an extension after signing his first pro deal in December 2023.
The new contract runs until the summer of 2028 with club option of an extra year.
He featured a fair bit towards the end of last season when Leaburn, Kanu and Aneke were unavailable.
Micah played the final 9 minutes at Wembley and was on the bench in both the semi-finals against Wycombe, and looks to have all the athletic attributes to have a good career in the game.
I suspect both he and Daniel Kanu will spend time out on loan next season.

Mbick was missing most of last season ( injury?) until he appeared on the subs bench in the play offs. He is a raw talent but needs a run of games within the U21s before is sent out on loan. I thought his lack of minutes was obvious in the short periods he had on the pitch in the play offs.
That’s great news and I’ve followed his career with interest and if he can remain fit he will be an asset tonthe squad….more games in the U21 team will help his development and I’m sure he will feature in the first team.
