When Saturday comes
Burton got their point tonight to assure their safety and their 8th consecutive L1 campaign, which will give them the longest tenure now that Shrewsbury have dropped.
Gary Bowyer has done a very good job there since he took over before Christmas.
Already 18,000 tickets have been sold for our final game on Saturday, and at 5pm we will know who our play-off opponents will be.
We know it will be either Stockport or Wycombe, although not mathematically. We can make 3rd place with a draw between those two who meet at Adams Park and for us to win by 7 goals.
For us to grab 4th and a home 2nd leg we’d need to win of course, but would also need a positive result either way between the Chairboys and the Hatters.
If we do finish either 4th or 5th then the 1st leg will take place on a Saturday night, May 10th. The 2nd leg will be in the evening of Thursday, May 15th.
Not nervous at all.

Hopefully the Burton boys will be on the beers giving our inevitable second string the chance of a decent result come Saturday. Fully fit strongest starting 11 is the priority after which home advantage for sure as I fancy us against any of the PO contenders if that’s the case.
Dreaming of Wycombe in the semis and a final against Orient haha we’ll see…in the meantime, refundable hotel bookings already done for Manchester both nights.
Nervous but exciting.
