More signings?

Do we think the Addicks will make more signings this week?

The deadline is Thursday at 11pm and we sit as of now with no manager / head coach so although it is Andy Scott that is pulling the strings will players sign for a managerless, some may say rudderless, team?

Loans may be all we bring in, but I think that we might only have one spot available with Camara, Watson (L), Bakinson, Fiorini and Ladapo already in the building.

It is also very apparent that we are overloaded with defensive midfielders, and there is also a need to send out some of the youngsters on loan. Some to regain confidence (T Campbell) and some to get consistent match time (Anderson).

As I understand it Scott Fraser is still up in Scotland waiting on someone at Charlton to give his loan to Hearts the green light. George Dobson may well move this week, although he appears to unfathomably signed a pre-contract summer deal with a team in Hungary.

As Andy Scott or possibly Michael Appleton move to recruit players to play in a 3-5-2 formation, we noticeably lack real wing backs, possibly a 10 unless May is to play there, and then a striker that ideally can play wide.

I do wish we had signed Uche Ikpeazu as we lack a focal point up top, Ladapo certainly isn’t it, and who knows how long before we see Aneke, who anyway will probably only be used from the bench.

At least Ikpeazu is match-ready unlike Ladapo, Fiorini and McGillesphey.

Two names mentioned to be in the mix this week are Aaron Collins, who is a 10, from Bristol Rovers and Watford RWB Jeremy Ngakia. The latter is injured though, so he sounds perfect 😀

I quite like the look of Will Evans at Newport County, a young goalscoring version of Ikpeazu … a right handful he is

Hi I think the most important signing has to be a Manager.
All Fleming brought on Sat was Irsh luck , we should have been 2 down at half time. The defence was bad no imporvment.
Good choice would be the ex birmingham manger , he improved a bad side , with directors like ours.

The priority must be sorting out a new and experienced long term manager who can keep us in league 1…then be prepared for a push next season with a better squad.
It a massive problem that needs addressing and getting a good enough manager will be very very very challenging without offering good money.
I still fancy Curbs to hold the fort in the meantime if he’s asked ?

None of the manager names mentioned fill me with joy.
I say leave Fleming in charge to the seasons end. Then re-assess.

Who would join a club with no manager?

That would seem to be a risky venture, not knowing if you will be played once a manager is selected.
