My Top Five 2023 Favourite Hotels
š5ļøā£ They have been saying travel is back. I donāt think I ever got on a flight last year when there was an empty seat. Prices are high but people want their lives back.
I stayed at 19 hotels in 2022, as I had done in 2021. Last year that number increased to 32 due more than anything to work, meaning settings were function over thrills.
Here are my My Top Five 2023 Favourite Hotels šØ:
1ļøā£ Nobu, Portman Square, London
Our stopover hotel before Christmas occupying the corner of one of Maryleboneās handsomest patches. Japanese minimalism in its purest form especially the luscious room. The iconic restaurant lies at the hotelās core.
2ļøā£ Four Seasons, Miami
This has appeared on these listās numerous times. We hadnāt stayed here for a while, but did for a friendās 50th in November and all of the hotelās dazzling charm was still on show but with the added bonus of overhauled rooms. Great location in Brickell, my favourite part of Miami.
3ļøā£ Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas

Location, location, location. Bang in the middle of the strip. Large rooms and a sexy vibe but it is all about the hotelās harem of top notch restaurants plus its behind doors speakeasyās. The Chandelier Bar is a brilliant hang out.
4ļøā£ Mint, New York
Itās so hard to find a hotel in downtown Manhattan that is not awful or ridiculously expensive or both, but I may have stumbled upon one. The Mint is an apartment hotel on Pine Street in a cool building with a modern room larger than a book of stamps that does not break the bank.
5ļøā£ Four Seasons, Whistler, Canada
Nestled into the mountainside in the North Village of Whistler built to replicate an alpine mountain lodge, the hotel features natural wooden interiors, a beautiful stone lobby and floor-to-ceiling glass windows from which to admire magical mountain scenery. Elegantly designed with regular Four Seasons fringe benefits.
šØ Honourable mentions: 1 Hotel, Toronto; Port Hotel, Eastbourne; The Jefferson, Richmond, Virginia.
