Chem Campbell signs on loan
No, I’ve not heard of him either but let’s be frank he has to be better than Kirk and DJ.
I have seen more movement and heart in a statue than DJ when he can as sub on Saturday.
Chem Campbell looks to be more in the mold of Jes Rak-Sakyi being able to play on either wing and as a 10. Wolves’ announcement is here.
I like his flexibility and he enamoured himself to Wycombe fans when there during the second half of last season. He made 12 appearances and scored 3 times.
His Wolves pedigree is good, so we’ll see how he goes. Welcome to SE7 Chem.
That is now two loan players. I am happy for others, but it is important to reinforce that we need first-teamers that can improve us, and in particular a partner for Alfie May.
We have our own promising youngsters and I’m always uneasy when we bring in other team’s young players to play ahead of our own. Unless of course they are much better.
I just checked and Campbell has had a pre-season and played two U21 games for Wolves, so should be fit…..

As you have said CA never heard of him and I bet Charlton also hadn’t until a few days ago!
Lets hope he’s as good a footballer as Glenn Campbell was at singing and playing the guitar! 🙂
Hardly a statement of intent, but let’s give the boy a chance…. I wish him well.
Hopefully he will add to the squad and improve our strength…..I love ‘Whiticha Linesman’ he sang too.
Very good 😂
Seems a good appointment…Oxford will be a challenge and we are due a win.
I hadn’t heard of him, then again, no reason why we should have. Andy Scott has and says he has been monitoring him for a while so I’m happy to take his word. We certainly needed another pacey wideman, as CBT is the only one, with Tyreece looking on track but still lots to learn. Like Kanu, Asimwe and Anderson, all will be good players I’m sure but should not be relied upon to be first team regulars at the moment. So what would happen WHEN CBT gets injured, we’d be royally stuffed, that’s why we need him. Very much looking forward to the unveiling of the big, goal scoring target man to help Alfie – then we are on our way 😉
If he’s half the player his namesake Alan Campbell was for us in the late 60’s he’ll do for me !!
Yes. Some I agree with some of the above comments. One of our own academy finds themselves down on the bench for a young loanee, how d’ya feel? But I suppose with the start in the league, the whiff of panic is in the air. Still, we can always hope it comes right in the end.
To be fair not very many people had heard of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi either when he joined and Chem has more games under his belt.
We need more attacking options – we still only have one senior striker and are reliant on an injury prone left-winger, a right-winger who has pace but drifts in and out of games and a clutch of talented but inexperienced players plus a few others who are likely to be shifted on sooner or later.
Chem like Rak-Sakyi and others has an opportunity to make a name for himself.
