The no d*ckheads policy

In the new order of things it looks like Stevenage and Leyton Orient will take over from Millwall and Palace as our rivals.

I am chuffed for the O’s, their fans have been through hell and back and their success shows what can be done with smart and thoughtful ownership with the club at the very heart of decision making. As for Stevenage I wasn’t bothered.

Yet it seems the club from Hertfordshire 51 miles from The Valley are.

For some unknown reason during their promotion celebrations their players were singing that they hate Charlton, and right in the middle of it singing and dancing along was Alex Gilbey.

Yes, the same Alex Gilbey that is contracted and paid by Charlton. What a dipstick. I hope Dean Holden throws him on the same pile of pointless d*ckheads as Macauley Bonne.

The video on Twitter has since been deleted.

The culture has long been wrong at Charlton, not since Lee Bowyer’s days as manager have we had group of players that I felt any connection with. It is a privileged job where the only thing that people who pay to watch ask is that those getting paid to wear the shirt care as much as they do.

I don’t know if Dean Holden can bring success to the club or not, but I hope he does bring back a bit of pride and professionalism.

Gilbey was a useless D*ckhead at Charlton before he even went to Stevenage!

Let’s get a grip here. M***w*** (I can’t bear to mention the name) and Crapple Paralysis (no offence intended here beyond CP!) will always be seen as seriously unwelcome neighbours to be disparaged and despised.

The Os are a decent homely team (remember the great A? ‘Arry Gregory?). Stevenage? Who, sorry?

We have to hope that the True Order might be restored within our lifetimes, and I know this might be a tall order for those of us of advancing years…

Dean Holden may or may not be a good manager, who knows? If he isn’t generously financially supported during the close season. Next season will be no different to this.

Steve Evans, the manager, has never hidden his dislike of Charlton over the years…

Most actions like this percolate from the top down…
