Goalkeepers recalled

One would imagine that Craig MacGillivray is now the owner for the time being of Addicks’ the no.1 shirt. He was always going to replace Joe Wollacott whilst he was in Qatar, but following Joe’s finger surgery this week you have to think that the Scotsman will be in the sticks until well into the new year.
But will he? Ben Garner today recalled both goalies that were out on loan – Nathan Harness from Bromley and Ashley Maynard Brewer from Gillingham.
Harness 22, has just one, and one to forget, 1st team appearance to his name, whereas AMB, a year older, has only played a singular FA Cup game for us a couple of years back but did play 17 SPL games for Ross County last season.
Both were sent on loan to gain experience, but have yet to make a first team game this season. Harness has sat on Bromley’s bench since he moved there in October, and AMB was injured playing for the Gills in pre-season and then did his recuperation at Sparrows Lane. The Aussie has featured for our U21’s on his road to fitness.
Ashley has had terrible injury luck, mostly his shoulders, but is the more experienced but it is hard to imagine either he or Nathan would be preferred over MacGillivray, who has 176 games in League One to his name.
It’s being rumoured McGillivray is injured ! …………..
Yep he’s injured so either of the two reserve keeper’s will play Saturday
