Graveyard of promotion hopefuls

It seems strange that L1 finished their season before everyone else, not that I’m complaining, but it is odd that every other league including the National are still playing.

Wycombe got a huge 2nd goal late into the game at home to MK Dons tonight to give them every advantage of making the Wembley final, which is not until the 21st.

The two old school giants Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday meet tomorrow night at the Stadium of Light, at least the Black Cats will be pleased we are not in their way.

We could do with losing one of Wednesday or Sunderland from L1, although we know it doesn’t always work like that. Nonetheless Derby and the always competitive Peterborough and Barnsley only add to the graveyard of promotion hopefuls stuck in this division for next season.

Anyone of Northampton, Bristol Rovers, Mansfield, Port Vale or Swindon can join Forest Green Rovers and Matt Taylor’s Exeter City on Saturday in what will be an exciting final L2 day.

    Let’s be positive
A new manager, a bunch of new players and let’s go straight up next season.
If we wobble and end up in the playoffs we will need Sunderland in the final so we don’t want them to go up.
I’m behind TS and what he has done so far and I hope he has the finances for a big push.

I do feel sorry for JJ but the appointment of Skiverton ( 23 years at Yeovil Town) started me wondering. In my mind a really negative appointment. I was told by my travelling partner “ don’t keep going on about it” . Looks like I was not the only one.
